Independence Day Fireworks in Wilmington

Happy Independence Day. Here are some fireworks on the waterfront in Wilmington, Delaware.

The British seemed nice, but all that taxation without representation really riled up our founding fathers.

I suggest watching the Musical 1776 for a skewed yet entertaining take on the Continental Congress, and the writing of the Declaration of Independence.

Well, aren't you polite! The British weren't always that nice, although it's courteous of you to say that we were. You needn't spare our blushes, it was a few years ago now. Anyway, those founding fathers, we weren't that sorry to see the back of them. they drove King George mad, you know. And you seem to have managed without us, so far. ;)
