Recently reread 1491 by Charles Mann.  A very interesting review of the evidence that the Americas had a much larger population and many well developed and diverse cultures than what had previously been thought.

Extra pumpkins make a snowman. Repurposing fall decorations for winter. I am proud of the hat from construction paper and the scarf from a Christmas napkin.

Nilsson fan in Delaware

There are at least two Nilsson fans in Delaware, me and this hard core fan whose license plate is the main character Oblio from Nilsson's "The Point". We use to play that album (on 8 track!) over and over on road trips when I was little.

Rummikub

We appear to have a complete set of Rummikub tiles. I laid them out just like you would a deck of cards (which I suspect they represent) to check.

It is a good game to practice numbers and strategy with Linus. I don't think I have ever played it before.

Driveway Halloween decorations

I really like this skeleton that Linus drew. Scary in a the right proportions. Prominent ribcage and scray skull teeth.

This living heart creature is green with envy or with the eldritch energies if a being from another dimension.

Perhaps the skeleton arrived in this spacecraft...

Mushrooms under the leaves

Blowing the leaves revealed these mushrooms in the disturbance of last year's pile. It has been wet so these must have been growing underneath.

This other set was a few feet from the first. The large one is a few inches across.

Purple Fungi

Beautiful purple fungi and green miss on a limb that fell in the recent wind and rain storms.
