Rummikub

We appear to have a complete set of Rummikub tiles. I laid them out just like you would a deck of cards (which I suspect they represent) to check.

It is a good game to practice numbers and strategy with Linus. I don't think I have ever played it before.

Driveway Halloween decorations

I really like this skeleton that Linus drew. Scary in a the right proportions. Prominent ribcage and scray skull teeth.

This living heart creature is green with envy or with the eldritch energies if a being from another dimension.

Perhaps the skeleton arrived in this spacecraft...

Mushrooms under the leaves

Blowing the leaves revealed these mushrooms in the disturbance of last year's pile. It has been wet so these must have been growing underneath.

This other set was a few feet from the first. The large one is a few inches across.

Purple Fungi

Beautiful purple fungi and green miss on a limb that fell in the recent wind and rain storms.

The first Dutch Apple Baby of the season

Fall is apple season. I hope to be able to eat more Dutch Apple Babies this season. Sometimes these are called German Apple Pancakes.

Digging purple potatoes

The tops of two of the potatoe plants died and the sources say it's time to dig them up. Lynn did the digging and I did the recording for posterity.

Crepe Myrtle Blooms

One of the two trunks on this crepe myrtle has died, but this side is blooming.

Crepe myrtles blooming is the sign if high summer, maybe even the peak.

Hosta flowers

We do have a lot of hostas in our forested yard by the creek.

There are many with interesting leaves, and I do like the flowers. We have been culling boring hostas and filling in with other perennials bit by bit. It is a multi-year process. This is getting to the end if year 9.

Potato flowers

I am assuming these potato flowers are purple because the potatoes under the ground are. we are hoping this experiment works.
