Some surviving Tulips

The tulip marauder has struck again. Decapitated tulips with no apparent cause.

Luckily we have some surviving ones on the other side of the walkway.

This lone fancy purplish one is a favorite.

Zork wine stopper

Picked this Chardonnay specifically because it had this unique stopper called a Zork.

I just pealed away the plastic to reveal a plastic stopper that can be reclosed. The stopper might be the best part. There was a hissing when I opened it completely.

However the wine was not good. Too sweet and dark for a Chardonnay, almost like a corked taste. It will be used for cooking maybe. Cool top, bad wine.

Daffodils

Spring has arrived in full force, and so have the daffodils. These are my neighbors. I love the dark center and light outer petals.

These frilly ones are also next door.

Here are some of my own daffodils.

Crocuses signal Spring

A sure sign that Sring has sprung is my annual close ups of crocuses with whatever my current camera or cell phone is.

The bright sunlight makes these things glow!
